Listening to the radio, apparently the day originated following Margaret Thatchers election on May 4th 1979, when the Conservative Party placed an advert in a newspaper saying "May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations'' and it snow balled from there

Last night my daughter started having contractions for her baby due of 1st May. Unfortunately they came to nothing, so I told her this morning "No pain, no gain". Looking like we are not getting a Star Wars baby, I told her to try harder. May the force be with you.
