Happy Movil Mobile (Spain)

I am currently in Sotogrande
(Spain) and thinking about getting a Happy Movil mobile for international calls to UK and USA when I cannot use Skype. Has anyone used this and is it easy to pay etc?

You might try going to a Tabac and ask for a mobile phone discount card. We use a fixed line one and I know they're different for mobiles. We pay 5 euros and,on our land line tarrif, get 2 hrs of UK calls from it.... then get a mobile phone on prepay? Just a thought.

Got ours from the 'Phonehouse' .
Very cheap to use for calling back to UK, sometimes difficult (but not often) to get a top-up -- expensive for txt ing.

We've used the Happy cards when unable to get Skype. They time-expire, though. Is it 30 days? Otherwise fine.

Thanks for info on Happy Card. We have tried them but seem to expire quicker than I would expect. Do you know how many minutes a 6 euro card would give to the UK approx.? I've searched everywhere for this info but I can never find UK in the list of rates. We use the card by dialing 1497 at a payphone in marina. Spanish a bit ropey so not sure what operator saying to us!
