The problem I have noticed when ever I have looked at the listings on battery retail websites is that they always seem to be out of stock. As in your link!

nothing but i stumbled across this thread after looking on the site you mentioned. when googled a review of the 2 types of hankook batterys

most of the thread i started was getting an understanding of what I needed etc.

That's where they have all gone !

I expect they only arrive in the country once per year. One of those huge container ships full of them docks in Felixstowe then when they've gone they've gone until the next ship load.

Could be, i just happen to be sitting on three of them. I can see Felixstowe from the cockpit, perhaps i could nip over and get a few more

Hankook seem to have a pretty good reputation, so provided they are available there should be no problem with them.

I have also used battery megastore, perfectly satisfactory. However, last year I bought two leisure batteries for my motorhome from https://advancedbatterysupplies.co.uk/. Due to a cock-up on my part I bought the wrong ones, and since ABC are based in Stockport, not too far from my home address, I drove over to replace them. The outside of the place looks pretty unimpressive but inside is a different story. These people really know what they are talking about and I found them very accommodating in what they will provide. Highly recommended. (and the batteries are still performing well)

I've had several Hankook batteries for boats and caravan. No problems with any of them. Good service from battery megastore either.

Also used Tayna several times. Excellent service.

And I bought a Yuasa car battery from MDS, https://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/ , delivered next day direct from Yuasa's depot

they will be just the job.

many suppliers sell the same battery with their own labels . Hankook are one of the largest battery manufacturers

No they are not. The ones i recommended were these: Hankook XL31 Dual Purpose Leisure Battery - Battery Megastore

Same size, nearly 2kg heavier, dual posts so you can just drop properly crimped on lugs straight onto the terminals.
