I see one book has already been removed because of copyright.Past experience with these sort of sites is that they don’t always stay up for long (or the best stuff gets taken down), so raid it while you can! ?
Can anyone find out how reliable a website such as pdfdrive.com is? I don't want to jeopardize my computer, with malware or ransomware.
If it's possible for your computer to be infected by downloading a pdf file you shouldn't be on the internet. Any decent anti-virus software will keep you safe from such things.

It wouldn't be the PDF File but the website

"A significant amount of malware infections and potentially unwanted program (PUP) irritants are the result of downloads from unreliable sources. There are a multitude of websites that specialize in distributing malicious payloads by offering them up as something legitimate or by bundling the desired installer with additional programs".
Dubious downloads: How to check if a website and its files are malicious
Yes I know what you are saying but how many times have I downloaded something and found my browser is now Chrome or my preferred application for opening a file has changed or I've loaded "tracking cookies"?Good anti virus software will still keep you safe.

I always do a check like "Is Malwarebytes Labs safe?See top right of your link - Free Downloads
They suggest Virus Total. How are you going to put it on your machine without downloading and running an executable? Much more dangerous IMO than downloading a PDF and viewing it!

These search sites targeting 'grey areas' of copyright (like pdfdrive.com) tend to make revenue from people clicking on the surrounding adverts/links and these, in turn. are sometimes for 'nuisance' software (or potentially worse).
IMO you just have to accept this, trust your antivirus and/or Windows defender (and increasingly browsers themselves will warn you), and use your better instincts (i.e. if you're looking to download a book but instead see downloads for 'PC security' or some such, then try to avoid them, cancel, close, navigate away, etc...).
As for the PDFs on here, all appear kosher and - seeing as it is a grey area and all - let's just say 'someone who isn't me' could get a very nice electronic 'library' for the boat and save a lot of space/£££.
Of course, should also accept that it isn't entirely ethical - even if it is arguably pretty harmless by the time links end up on widely-accessible search sites. Perhaps consider buying a new edition, or sometime else from the same author, if the works are ultimately found to be of value (many that end up on search sites like these tend to be older editions or superseded anyway)?
.I was just looking at chart table images on the internet and was delighted to see someone else with a paper based library
It's worth noting if it says epub or mobi in the box, then use the small drop down arrow at right of select box and select pdf.
