Quick question about handicapping before the mid-June SYH East Coast Classic event:

PyroJames has entered Croix des Gardes and we have an IRC handicap allocated. however, yesterday Pyro broke his foot fending off badly whilst leaving SYH and now he is in plaster. Does this handicap count?!

PS We need crew - fast. CdG has been abandonned off The Harwich. You didn't think he would forego a day's sailing just because he'd smashed his foot did you?

Boat is safe enough for now but not entirely where she's meant to be...
Do need help for East Coast Classics, 12/13 June as Pyro is only fit for shouting *LOL*

Any offers of help, PM me or Pyro.

Ta!!

PS We have plenty of beer, whisky and port.

I have no intention of missing the Classics simply because I have a foot in plaster. I have two crew so far and anyone else who fancies chasing the rest of the fleet, drinking beer and not expecting to take home any silver is welcome to join us. I may be limited to helming or sitting in the companionway observing. Preferably the former.

Hi James

Very sorry to hear you are plastered.

Fending off with your foot when your boat weighs 19 tons was a little, shall we say, optimistic?

I daresay I could make myself available if you think I would be any use (I will start weight training now), and I could email Jenny as I know she enjoyed last year. I think Johnny Windrush will be working that weekend, so he's out.
