The screen on my Magellan handheld GPS seems to have gone wrong. I can't see it straight on but can when I look at it at an angle. Can anyone suggest someone who could have a look and, perhaps, put it right?

Our digital field thermometers developed this problem after the LCD displays were knocked ... and also moisture found way in. Basically the LCD modules were knacked ...

I think you need to contact Magellan ... I think they come under Thales ?

My old Meridien ... 8ch job of maybe 20yrs vintage ... when first operating is fine then display fades away after a few hours ... keep meaning to ask if they can change for a new module ... as it's a good speed / course indicator separate from main plotter ...

That used to happen to my cheap digital watch when the batteries were nearly finished. Before trying anything more difficult, change the batteries!

Thanks for all that, particularly Brian_B. Contrast it was. Good as new now for no outlay. I emailed the well known crew from whom the GPS was bought, they quoted me £90 with no suggestion as to what the problem might be !!
