Hand held VHFs

Time has come to buy a new hand-held VHF, the old cheapo having just died. I have not seen any articles about which are the best waterproof units in town. I’m sure you get what you pay for but, on the basis this one should last for a few years, it seems a pity to just go and buy a pretty one. Any comments as to the best value?

I just bought an XM2000, all good so far and it was cheap too, got it from Aladdins cave in Bursledon, they might still be doing a deal on them, cost me about 80 quid if I remember rightly.
They are on the web and probably do mail order etc
