I agree with what you say but for me the problem is with the speed of price increases.
My berthing costs were raised by 14% this year. I was told that it was mostly down to the Hamble habour Master increasing dues.

But what i am really getting at is that i have had a good mooring for some time but i cannot cope with 10-20% prices increases each year.

I am simply being proced out of the Hamble..and i fear that i am not the first or the last by a long way.

I truly beleive that the only way to get something sorted is for all of the non rich boat owners to get together and confront the marina companies and more imporntantly the local council..as they have the power to do a lot as well...!

Judging by the number of post on this subject i think i have once again opened pandoras box...!

but can anybody out there actually come up with any kind of soloution to the problem that does not affet our sailing..?
