Hamble River. Crown Estate moorings

Does anyone have recent experience of the waiting list for these moorings? I draw 1.75m and LOA 10.3m. I thought I’d heard somewhere that the wait was no longer as long.... but perhaps I imagined that.

I thought a few years back that the wait had got less, but we are now seeing an increase in boating so I’m not sure of the current situation. Best to ask the Harbour office who I’ve always found very transparent on this (& other) issue.

I was talking to the HM recently. Sub 8m and you could be talking just a few months. However, bigger berths are in big demand and not many people are moving off ATM. I have just given up my 8M and am now on the waiting list for a sub 10m. Hence my thread of what to 'play with' in the meantime.

Dead men's shoes, the HM does sometimes have temporary berths available
