Hamble eateries any recomendations

I have enjoyed my last few meals in the victory. Had a good steak and recently had very nice marinated lamb chops. mmmmmm

Popular, good portions, good value but relatively basic fare - in my opinion.

I'd personally suggest the King & Queen, or the Bugle in that order.

Or the big Italian place up the short cobbled lane next to the Co-Op - if you fancy Italian.

PS What is 'Hank'?

Locally known as the 'Dodgy Eater' (only because its really the Dolce Vita); theres also Boomerangs which is cheap and cheerful or the Ketch Rigger out at Hamble Point. If you fancy a bit of posh, try the River Rat

+1 for the dodgy eater. Excellent food a surprisingly good prices.

River Rat, as suggested by Robbie, is excellent. Price reflects. After that I would go for The Bugle.

Rest are ok. Dolce Vita nothing special.

There is also Banana Wharf in Port Hamble marina which no one has mentioned so far. Good food.

If you are ok with take away, there is a chippy, a Chinese take away and an Indian restaurant all in a row in Coronation Parade (that is on the opposite side of the road on the left hand bend as you enter Hamble, next to the model of the Red Arrow). Can't speak for that Indian, but the Chinese and chippy are both good.

The Bugle does superb food. Shouldn't have to book midweek but I would to be on safe side. The Fox & Hounds Lone Barn is great too.
