My diverter seems to have pulled off the mast.

I am looking for a replacement and, so far, have only found one made by Plastimo. It doesn't seem quite the same as the lost one as it has two holes on horizontal alignment, while I believe the old one had them at slightly different levels.

Any suggestions where else to look (and I have spent time with that sailor's friend - Mr Google)?

Do you know the manufacturer of your mast?

Mine is made by zspars and despite being 25 years old when called up they have sent me various bits including a spinnaker halyard divertor.

I am talking about the fairlead on the front of the mast.

The mast is Selden but we fitted the diverter ourselves (when we had hallyard wrap problems) - it was not supplied with the mast.

It sounds the same as mine that I believe was a Selden halyard diverter. You can only buy them in packs of two and they come with the correct sized drill bit for the screws. From memory (poor) the holes are diagonally placed.

Edit: I got mine from Selden. It's possible riggers could sell you one as in the post above.

Beware!
When crewing a replacement diverter was needed last year when the boat was in Germany.
The local chandlers stocked two sizes.
BUT the drill supplied was TOO BIG.
If you need to drill check the size by drilling into a piece of scrap metal first and put in a fastening.

All the mast manufacturers have their own diverter - the cheapest will probably be ZSpars.
I always carry a spare - diverters on roller genoa and spinnaker - but have never had to use it, though the rivets sometimes need replacement. The originals are usually aluminium, easy to fit but disintegrate after 10 years of hard use. Replace with monel - but not stainless steel.
Harken and Rudgerson do the most fancy, with little rollers - fancy prices as well.

I had a new mast from Z Spars which arrived without a diverter. When I asked them for one they said they didn't have them and I needed buy one from Selden and fit it myself.
