Hall effect correct component (tech-y!)

Hi all

I've got a Navico tiller pilot which needs a replacement hall effect sensor (as it's been broken off)

The item has A UGN 3177 811 marked and it is a lead form three wire package, not surface mount.

I can't find a direct identicsl spec even on RS.

I've found a data sheet

Any compatible enough or no? (Or at least worth taking a no rush winter punt?)

Why not contact the manufacturer, you may even get a free sample. If they won't talk to you, I could contact them from my electronics company address.

Allegro seem to have replaced the 3177 with the A1210, which is available from farnell.

Slightly more expensive but a whole lot easier; Navico, or whoever they are now, supplied me with a replacement circuit board for about £15 a few years back.
