half price anodes

I have nearly finished the welding on the tug I recently got and want to put anodes on so I rang mg duff who quoted me £165.00 plus vat for 6 4.5kg anodes
TO BLUDDY MUCH I THOUGHT !!
Then I tried Norris's at Isleworth ,they were a little cheaper but
STILL TO MUCH
After a while searching the net I found Latham Marine from Canterbury in Kent
Including postage
IT WAS £99.87
NOT BAD
They came the next day
SO save your self lots of dosh !!
The anodes come from Canada

The zinc probably did aswell! come from Canada I mean! Pity we have no zinc mines in UK anymore, they might have been cheaper here! Knock Knock is anybody in government listening!!!!

They're about 1/2 the UK price in France - but then nearly everything to do with boats is more expensive in the UK than anywhere else.
