May I just remind any of the readers both Nationally & Internationally that I run a group page on Facebook called...."Guy Thompson boat designer". Our most recent member lives in New Zealand, which goes to show how far Guys designs reached, and the boat was built in Christchurch in 1975. He has posted a pic of the boat which he sails in the Huaraki straights. If you own a Thompson, selling a Thompson or own any of the Thompsons in the pics I have filched from various outlets, please join us and show us your boat. Maybe you have more info than we already have on Guy, you'll be most welcome.
I have written to the Bank of England museum, to ask about him, as he worked there for many years, and unknown to the bank, took over a small cellar room, where they discovered various drawing/sketches and designs and presumably the births of the T24, T27 & T31's. After he went. He was well known in the Royal Burnham yacht club for designing fast race boats, back in the 60's. Any info gratefully received.

I learnt to sail on a T24 and crewed to France CI and the SW, I have fond memories of a very solid boat.

The boat was called White Wings and was sold to a buyer in Southampton in 2001. Sadly I've never seen her again I don't suppose you've come across her?

Hi people, i'm a proud owner of the T31 in Malta for past 16 years! It's only this year where i dare to think about having her on the hard long enough to revive the keel trim assembly fiber glassed by the previous owner. Hope to share some photo's soon, but she's hands full to maintain as her decks deteriorate quick in Mediteranean sun.
Happy Sailing,

Hi Colt,
I'd appreciate if you may share the photo of the lower bearing with bolts location for the keel trim, since mine is missing and it seem essential to get it right.
Previous owner said he fiber-glassed it due to water leakage, probably caused by loose fitting at the bottom, constantly damaging the rope packing with T31 rocking in her swinging mooring.
Happy Sailing,
Vojkan
