How gutted am I !! My old Mum & Dad went shopping Sat and when they came back some b**tard had stolen their car. They're in their mid 70's and have had the car from new for around 20 years!! Value to the insurers virtually nothing, but to them almost everything - not only that but all my Dad's tools were in the boot and he's accumulated them over a lifetime! Absolute misery caused to two dear old pensioners by some scum - if only I could get hold of the culprits!!

Sorry to here it Barry. We've all had doses of these scum bags. Unfortunatly it's just become part of normal life and it wil carry on like that untill some one really does something about it. Time we had a John Wayne type charactor to weed the buggers out.

Thanks mate..just so gutted for my Mum & Dad - they're totally bewildered by it and just don't know how they're going to do normal things like shopping, doctors, hospital etc and too far from here for me to help! (Will probably end up buying them another motor..but it wont be the same for them).

Well I really am sorry for them - and you. I just know how annoyed I would be if it were my parents.

I do hope that in the longer run, they don't take it to heart and brood over the incident too long.

Scum-bag thieves...I have a nice walled court yard and half a dozen riflemen who would like to meet them.

Really sorry to hear about your mum and dad's car. There are some right s****s
out there who seem to get away with anything.

My shop has been broken into twice this year and all the b******s stole was the charity boxes off the counter. Can't get much lower than that.

Im sorry to hear this.

Bast***s aren't they. I posted one about 3 weeks ago, some twat broke into our house and caused over £5000 of damage and stole our valued possessions. I don't think it matters what age you are, it hurts. Some items can never be replaced. My six year old has difficulty coming to terms with it. Fu*k 'em I say, I wouldn't think twice about dropping them in the drink 200 miles off shore, preferably in shark infested water.

Your mum and dad will need support and your help. It will take a long time to get over this.

Sorry to hear your story. People dismiss this problem too easily. To learn how to drive a different car at their age can be a mojor problem and why should they have to be put out? Police have no interest in this sort of theft and only the innocent suffer. Paul

I hear stories like this all the time and it is just getting ridiculous how much this is going on. Though I did hear the other day from a chap that caught two of these scumbags breaking into his van, one ran off but was caught by the mans friend and the other was caught by the man himself. The very detailed comentry on the f***ing good hiding (and I mean GOOD hiding) that they gave them amused my imensly. Then when plod turned up one of the scumbags mouthed off to one of the coppers and got another good hiding in the back of the wagon.
Unfortunatly, you dont hear of such a happy ending often enough.

Oh how I would love to see it! Yes, I am well aware it`s barbaric, (corporal punishment) but is anything else working?

Not Barbaric. Barbaric is what we have at the moment. Common sence is to stop it.

\"Justice\"

Your friends were very lucky that the criminals dont make a complaint, and discover that it is the good guys that get the "justice" and jail sentence, and the bad guys get the newspaper money (see Mr Martin) The law in this country no longer seems to be based on "Justice" The do-gooders have removed the deterrent effect and forgotten about the victims - no wonder we are in a spirraling climb of crime from these scumbags. Bring back the stock, the whips and hanging /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Yes. Yes.Yes ccscott49 bring back the birch. It is time that we people took back our rights that have been eroded away by political correctness. We do not owe every wasteral a living and they have no right to our hard earned property.
Got to start young though and sort out manners and self control in schools which means parental support for teachers - not parental abuse as is so often the case now

My Mum and Dad live in a nice cul de sac.
Behind them is a path that leads to the shops and is gated and locked for the residents.
Some young kids, 8-12 smashed down the gate and swagger through the flats bashing cars with base ball bats and terrorising the residents. This in in North London.
My Dad confronted a gang of them and he got chased into his flat and threatened, he is 83.
They had to spend £1,000 putting up a metal gate to stop the kids walking through the property. Now no one locks the gate and the problem has started again.
Young scum, training to be old scum. Sorry to hear your news too
Phil

Update

Mum and Dad's car STILL not found and insurers (Royal) said today that they wont fund courtesy car until their car is found and in compound - am I missing something? In the meantime, poor old Mum & Dad wont go anywhere for fear of missing call from either Police or Insurers and have had to cancel a hospital appointment.

Re: Update

My mum had her car stolen years ago. Insurance sent the cheque to there local agent. Then I got a tip from a mate. Found car along with drugs and guns. Bloke arrested. So Mum went for cheque ant told agent the car was in the police compound. So insurance went to look and said she could not have the cheque as the now retrieved car, was not in as good a condition as they had presumed when they did not have one!! Thats when I got involved!! /forums/images/icons/frown.gif
