Had a feeling she needed IV antibiotics, sadly its something I know all about. She should be OK now, hospitals are amazing places me thinks.

she is feeling better this morning, fantastic hospital, they even have a chef on the ward who cooks what ever you want fresh for you...lol
and she cant swallow....lol
doctor said she should be out tuesday.

Great news for you both, have they any idea what caused it so sudden?

Ann was taken to A & E Guernesy 2 years ago, they just took over and I was left to go to reception with my credit card. I was sh...ing myself as to the cost as I had no insurnace but somehow you cant ask how much can you when SHMBO is in there being looked after. Anyway at the end after, one night and loads of tests I was asked to go and settle up. Total £45 as they had recipricol arrangements with the UK so I paid same as Guernsey resident. God I felt better after that. Anyway the next year our friend Gordon Browm broke off the agreement. No idea whats in place now, perhaps when all is settled you can let us know.

She is in the right place and hopefull the medicines will kick in and you will see a big improvement. I have a collegue transferred to that hospital ( but not working a & e he is consultant) but if he is around he said he will pop in to say hi. Never know he may make sure you get the best.

Just picked up your post. We are on holiday in Spain and I have not been on the Forum for a day or two due to sitting by the pool in the sunshine

Sorry to hear Heather is having such a grim time of it and I hope she is now recovered and ready to be discharged from hospital.

I have collected heather from hospital today and she is well on the mend, just got a bag full of medication.
I know she is better as she is moaning that she can't drink wine with the meds....lol
Heather has been very touched with the offers of help and thoughts.
