Thanks, I found the Baseline page which seems to have all the options you mention.

I hadn't realised they were so big, I was hoping to replace some tiny snap-shackles on my side gates.

Yes they're rather long. I'd buy these ones if I was buying again : https://www.jimmygreen.co.uk/item/32979/baseline-adjustable-pelican-hooks The ones I actually bought were the spring pin type and I find they do not do up nor undo under tension (not imho excessive tension either).
