You could also speak with Boats.co.uk they have a subsidiary in Mallorca. They were Fairline agents so could probably help you.
Wow £3k, must be gold inside and platinum casing.I found this. Very little info other than that eye-watering price.
Probably a bespoke motor which would explain the waiting list and ridiculous price. Getting close to the cost of an EV motor.Wow £3k, must be gold inside and platinum casing.
Well, custom designed motors can be tailored to meet specific application needs, possibly optimised for torque?Probably a bespoke motor which would explain the waiting list and ridiculous price. Getting close to the cost of an EV motor.
Yeah. Getting the roof moving probably requires a torquey motor alright. Just thinking about the location, those motors usually drive a belt or belts, likely one each side of the roof and the motor in the middle?Well, custom designed motors can be tailored to meet specific application needs, possibly optimised for torque?
The torque comes from the reduction box and I think there was a gear on the shaft.Yeah. Getting the roof moving probably requires a torquey motor alright. Just thinking about the location, those motors usually drive a belt or belts, likely one each side of the roof and the motor in the middle?
There is. And although we can't see it, there has to be a 90° turn in there as the gear is offset from the motor shaft. The torque comes from the reduction box and I think there was a gear on the shaft.
On the princess or at least on a v39. The motor is aft of the roof on the ceiling board. I think the middle one. Not sure where on a fairline though.Yeah. It's a worm drive - you can see that. That's what gives both the reduction and the 90 degree turn. There is. And although we can't see it, there has to be a 90° turn in there as the gear is offset from the motor shaft.
