Hello guys, I'm new to this so please be gentle!!

I've recently acquired a Glastron GT150 and I'm wondering if any of you have any info regarding this boat? I could do with interior pics or anything really?

Thanks in advance

I hate to state the obvious, but if you have just acquired it why don't you look inside it to see what the interior looks like? Secondly, why ask the questions after you've acquired it.?
Mind you buying a Glastron in the first place raises doubts!

Be careful you don't stuff it in a rough sea that bow is like a chisel we sold ours after loosing a windscreen. Great for doing the long jump though (if your names Bond that is).

I hate to state the obvious but if i had an interior i wouldn't be looking for original pictures would i?!!! lol!

It's a shell and when i said acquire, i mean ACQUIRE. It was given to me by a friend for restoration. So i'm gonna do it and keep it. I like the boat design, it has nothing to do with the name on the side of it. I wouldn't care less if it had mcdonalds written on it to be honest, i just love the shape, it was free and i have space! Sorted.

So when you've finished slating the boat i have no info on, could you supply some so i can make my own mind up please?

What happened to Christmas Spirit?

Thanks for the info on the rough seas though, i'm positive she'll only be seeing lakes abroad.

Regards

Rich

Go get 'em Rich

One reason I don't post any more is that some presume too much and get it all wrong.(Watch this post get torn to bits)!
There are more than a few who wouldn't be seen dead restoring a boat and so assume that everyones boat is "as new" and is only going to be used off the south coast sea area.
The fact that it's a GT150 and the way that you worded your post suggests that a restoration is afoot. I got my boat as a hull and a pile of stuff. I could never have afforded a boat otherwise. A little money here and there and a lot of time and effort and in the end, a boat to be proud of. Good luck with your project and show us some pics when you're done.

Biffo - great name!

Yeah i couldn't believe that reaction! Some people have more money than manners these days.

Thanks for the support, i don't know the first thing about boat design so i'm having to learn a lot and fast. My friend is in the Navy so he's taking me out on all sorts of craft and teaching me the basics, safety, management etc, and basically how not to kill myself or anyone else!

I'm starting a GRP shop making replacement parts for american cars so i'm int the perfect place to repair a broken boat!!

The thing i don't understand is why outboards are so damn expensive!!! I might have to modify my little 150 at this rate and put a V8 inboard, as i have rather a lot of them hanging about, but will defo have to test the weight arrangement and do several test floats!

Drop me a line if you fancy a catch up. The best of luck with your project too and thanks for the 'human' response!!

Kind regards

Rich
