Sorry to hear that Mark.
Join the club it happened to us last month.
Must be that time of year when the local junkies need to make an extra buck.
It's an expensive business feeding a habit and buying Xmas pressies......
Hope the damage can be repaired OK.

If you PM me with probable day/time and a list of stolen items I'll put my ear to the ground - not that I associate with criminal elements of course.

Sadly, a listening ear on any bus journey around Pompey these days produces more accounts of under-age sex, joy-riding or breaking & entering than my hearing aid can take on board.

What is the world coming to?
(Rhetorical question of course.)

Oh Mark, I am so sorry to hear your news.

Makes you think the death penalty should be re-introduced /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Assuming they can be caught of course.

I'm sorry but I don't think that the death penalty is appropriate for what were no doubt socially deprived youngsters who meant no harm and perhaps did not even really understand that what they did was wrong.

A more appropriate punishment would be one that was educative, that made them realise the pain that they cause to society. A pioneer in penal reform in France called Enguerrand de Coucy used to have just such an educative punishment system which involved, when he caught someone poaching on his land, hanging them from a tree by their testicles and leaving them.

So far as I am aware, there were no records of any repeat offendors.

Edit: just a thought: maybe that's how "penal reform" got it's name???

Really sorry to hear that, it's always the good folk who seem to get it in the neck, but your made of stern stuff.

Perhaps we could compromise between your and my suggestions by pinning their testicles to their foreheads?
