GRP Laminator reccommendations?

Can anybody recommend someone to do some GRP laminating, and change some skin fittings etc.

The boat's at Swanwick. I've had quotes from the larger repair companies down the river, and from a (much cheaper) one man band based in Portsmouth. Can anybody recommend anyone else?

Incidentally, so far the quotes are notable for how different they are - someone who's half the price on one bit is twice the price on another.

Give Mike Hulse a ring. He's Bursledon based but does work in Gosport/Portsmouth. He does first class GRP work. I've used him several times when based in Gosport but alas he doesn't come to Plymouth where the boat is now based!

This was my experience two months ago. Well known Portsmouth area independent wanted £350, local Yacht Services in-marina outfit provided a written quote for £540. What actually happened is that the independent subcontracted the work despite stating he would actually be involved hands-on. This only came to light because I was on the boat mid-week.

Young sub contractor who did the work got £120. He has just gone independent after 10 years learning the ropes in the Solent area, his cosmetic gel work is excellent but he has also done structural repairs while employed at the local yacht services outfit who wanted £540.
