grp but classic lines - suggestions please

I am surprised no-one has mentioned a

Nicholson 38 before.

Classic lines, good sea boats, excellent shelter, lots of room, strong, oodles of storage and usually owned for long periods of time - they meet most needs.

thanks for your input, I am so grateful for all the suggestions.
I am certainly very interested in the Nicholson range esp 35 and 39 (whats different about a 38 btw other than 12 inches?). Personally I would be very happy with a 35 or even a Contessa 32 but I know that the boss wont tolerate anything that small (how i wish we hadnt chartered those modern 40+ footers the last few years!). Other fav's at this stage are the small Swans or HR's if I could find good ones at the price. I kind of fancy the odd race in the solent (hence interest in C32) although am mainly looking for cruising. Is there much Nich 35,38,39 racing activity going on?
