I am planning to make a sun shade to go over the boom. I want to put some eyelets along the edge to attach via bungy to the guard rail.

Can forumnites recommend a source for grommets that are in the 10s and not in the 100s. Do I need to by special anvil?

I would also like to secure the front to the shrouds. I have seen little clips that go onto the wire but I do not know what they are called

Any other advice based on your experience would be great

Thanks

Look on ebay for Stainless eyelets. Yes you will need the fixing anvil.

I bought some plastic eyelets from a camping shop. All they need to fit them is to cut a small hole in the canvas and then use a hammer to join the two sides. I think they came as a pack of 10, certainly no more. I used them on an over the boom cover and they worked just fine. Cover was then redundant and is now serving use as a trailer cover, again using the eyelets with bungee cord hooks. It has withstood all the gales this winter so good testament to how strong they are.

I can send a pic if you wish as trailer & cover is in the back garden.

Just found them on ebay
