what about one of those automatic inflating keyrings in the shap of a miniture lifejacket. lifts 1kg from the bottom. (They must sell loads of them coming up to christmas).

Or do the right thing, increase your budget and buy him a bottle of middleton. Thats the gift that keeps on giving .

That is by far the best anchor on the market. It beats the CQR and the Bruce and the Fortress is not any good anyway.

I wonder what the rest of the Forumites think?

I got one of those, though a wee bit heavier, with my boat when I bought her. It has set and held perfectly every time I've used it. Can't recommend it enough.








Mind you I only used it once over lunch and it's been in the garage ever since.
