All boats on our opposite side of the quay, have been moved temporarily to he next quay,
They have rearranged the bowropes, and electric distribution, , so that there are 2 more berths (up to24m)
The 2 quays at a distance, are “new” from this summer, 25…27m ,and the next one not sure approx. 35m max.

This Princess 85 is less than a year old, had a fire in the ER due to a electric problem,
She can’t be started anymore,
The local owner is discussing warranty with the factory…

Will post news about the 2nd engine repair in the other thread.
I heard the sad news about the storm in SOF CDA, I hope that none of our forum friends nor their family is affected.

can someone tell me briefly how I can copy "a group" of pictures from photobucked in to a thread,
I don't remember how to do that, I copy paste them one by one

Looks really nice Bart.

After a few seasons in Spain I can see us moving Seralia into the Adriatic as we already love Croatia. What are the costs like there - any idea for a 15m berth?

for a 15m beth, (2015)
annual: 10750 euro
may- sept: 6310 euro
oct- april: 6560 euro
they increase prices 8 to 10% every year,
I had a deal for 3 year, which is approx 3 times annual rate from first year
if you want I can mail you the price list, or perhaps it is on the Porto Montenegro website, I'm not sure.
I like it here very much, but I have said that before :)
the management is all British,
and the people you need speak english, so no worry's with that
oh by the way, yesterday we were in a local restaurant in Tivat, we had starters, 2 x steak (good !) and a bottle of wine altogether for 50 euro's for the two of us, including the tip ;-)

Oof. Will have to save a bit. Just paid that for 3 years at SCM.

wow didn't realise that SCM is so cheap,
than there is fuel price, remember we get here taks free fuel, (0.6 euro/l in august)
but lets wait how all this looks in 3 years, many things can change by that time

Monty is great! Go enjoy the infinity pool, some skiimg in winter and the nearby wake boarding cable park. Some really nice restaurants.

Sport can be had in the 'crew bar'.

Go amd joim the yacht club and enjot the gym and tennis courts

Nice pictures Bart!

That princess is an 82 I think - a current model. Beautiful boat; terrible engine room to work in because there is just no space in there

In p'bucket, nowadays, when you look at your album every picture has a white tick/grey box. Tick the ones you want and the boxes turn blue, and a blee tool bar automatically shows at bottom of page. Click "links", 2nd from left in tool bar. This gives you the block of BBCode to drop a group of pictures into a post

Whats the skiing like? Proper lift infrastructure or a bit mickey mouse?

Bart, to get the cheap duty free fuel do you then have to immediately leave Montenegro?

yes I like her also very much, all summer she was moored opposite BA.
there is a Black (or very dark blue) German flagged 32M princess in Croation waters called "Best," similar simple and classic lines
On several occasions we were moored in the same bay, waw I like boat

thanks that's what I was looking for,

yes you do,
there is a customs office near the fuel dock, and the "checking out the country" is a integral part of the re fueling procedure.

in principle you could
take fuel and checkout in PM
sail to Cavtat (25nm) check-in Croatia / Europe, have lunch in Beatifull Cavtat (or Dubrovnic at 5nm)
then before 20h check back out, and sail back to PM,
there you must check-in again. (customs office open all night)
all paperwork is linked in one way or the other, so you can not skip any of these stages

with all our guests we sail both in Montengro and South Croatia, both country's / regions are very different but both are interesting and nice
so we do enough customs passages and top up fuel on most occasions

Thanks Bart, do you ever venture into Albanian waters? Seems to me that you have a fantastic cruising area there. Do you do much diving there, is there much to see?

Hi John,
well Albania is still on our togo list, we hear from alway's more people that go there and like it,, especially the unspoiled nature, and not crowded with toerists
apparently the locals are welcoming toerists,
but again, no first hand experience
we have never been more south than Budva,
Bar is also on our list, we 've got to know some people who live there,
but so far the attraction from South Croatia was too strong :)

the Diving around there is on very lo level atm.
In Montengro, private diving is permitted in most places, but the fauna and flora is very poor,
we have dived most of the wreck's and caves between Tivat and Budva, but it is nowhere near as nice like SOF Marseille region, or Sardegna, ...
In Croatia private diving is not allowed unless you buy a permit, which is quite expensive, considering what's to see there.
This summer we had no diving guest, we didn't encourage diving friends to bring their gear, as we can have at least as much fun onboard without the diving ;-)

Albania - sorry for thread hijack

We visited Albania three times this year, but did not push North to Saranda. Clear-in/out goes very smoothly and easily. Refuelling to slightly cheaper prices than GR, and of good quality. An agent will help you and it's not expensive, i.e. besser to delegate the paper work to him instead of having the hassle. Expect to be treated more like a ship than a pleasure boat. Berthing is alongside in the middle of ferries and other flying dolphins. Protection is OK but I guess it would become unconfortable in strong southerlies. His contact details are:
Agim Zholi / agimzholi---a-t---yahoo.com
Office phone & fax +35585225075 / Mobile phone +355692566576

Architecturally wise, Saranda remembers me more to the communist sububurbs of some former FSU town. Otherwise, people are really friendly and very happy to welcome visitors, there is a positive ambiance in town. Eating out is dirt cheap and good! What we liked also is the call of the Muezzin shortly after the bells of the church had resonated!

We did also try the Ksamil islets:

Our highlight was to navigate the Butrint river up to the UNESCO amphitheater. Entrance was difficult to find (hence the first attempt). Otherwise depths 2.00-2.20 at all time:

Mobos can head further (note enough power line clearance for SY's upstream), and anchor right in front of the entrance of the site:

The river mouth (pic was shot while we were leaving). Note the bearly visible pole on Stb side:

Then pass a small fort:

Then the former custom's house (and Hoxha's bunkers):

Re: Albania - sorry for thread hijack

Thanks for those great pics hardmy. Very enlightening. I guess I always assumed people didn't visit Albania by boat, so thanks for correcting that!
