hi i have dark green mould in the fibers of my spray cover. if i use the jet wash it mover it but i dont want to over do it may put a hole in it. any help on this prob thanks guys Dilly

Apply Jeyes fluid by spray and leave for a few days. If the torrential rain does not wash it awaym a jet washer set on a lowish setting will.

Treat with poly cell.

There are other similar products about but if you only have a small area to treat then polycell is prob the easiest to get hold of.

Treat with Patio Magic, diluted 5:1, better value than Polycell, and won't make the boat smell like a public urinal like Jeyes.

Patio Magic is great, but the makers advise that you may find you need to re-proof with something like Fabsil afterwards.

It really depends on the material itself. If it is acrylic canvas like Sunbrella the manufacturer recommends the process which is essentially soap and bleach. Works brilliantly.
"Sunbrella fabric does not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric. To clean mildew, or other stubborn stains:
Eight ounces (one cup) of chlorine bleach.
Two ounces (1/4 cup) of mild soap and/or detergent.
One gallon of water.
Clean with soft bristle brush.
Allow mixture to soak into the fabric for up to 15 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed.
Air dry.
Repeat if necessary.
Re-treatment of fabric for water and stain resistance will be necessary."
