Greek Island Holidays

I am planning on a 2 week trip to one of the islands this August. We will be staying in a villa and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of 2-4 day boat charter or even daily? Not sure which island yet and could be swayed by advice!

I was in Volos a few weeks ago and saw that there were many local charter yachts preparing for the season at the main quay. If you get no joy in Skiathos then it would be worth taking the fast cat ferry to Volos and checking there.
Sunsail have a base at Milina which is about 15 miles south of Volos - there's a bus service from Volos.

You could go to Chefilonia(sorry spelling) nidri...fiscado...etc you have some wonderful areas all covered by regular ferries lots to do, you can also hire mopeds in frikas...for exploration, lots of close islands..very friendy...steep mountain views...we enjoyed sailing this area..but spent time ashore to take in the culture....stavros is nice if the festival is on!
