Anyone know what the score is wrt diving with SCUBA gear in Greece?
My boat is out there and I want to buy a small cylinder in order to do a little work below the waterline and also in order to get myself out of fouled anchor/prop situations. I'm not sure if a private individual can buy and get air cylinders filled as per the UK.
BTW - before someone shouts in horror, I am a certified BSAC diver.
Thanks Steve (Affinite II)

You should have no problems getting bottles filled. However where you are allowed to dive is another question.Speak to the people who fill the bottles .they are usually dive schools. and are up to speed on local regs. certainly every marina and harbour has a local diver on tap.
I carry a mini
bottle and kit ,just to scrub the bottom, and check the prop.

Did hear a few horror stories in Greece of young lads going scuba diving with spearguns for the big fish (Groupers? Snappers? Summat like that).

Anyway, they tie the gun to their wrist so they don't lose it. Spear the fish, and not kill it outright. Said fish then swims like b**gery back to it's hole in the rock, dragging the hapless diver with it to a watery doom...
