I don't actually know what they use other than its self-eroding.
(The stuff they use seems to work OK based on previous applications before I owned the boat, but it could still be Chilli Powder in Wallpaper paste for all I know)
I also have two JayCar Ultrasonic A/F systems on the boat and although I'm quite sceptical about the USAF, they do seem to help so the combination of the two ought to see me ok for a couple of seasons.

My interest was academic, I just wondered what worked and what was popular. Yards like happy customers so I assumed they would use something that did not cause any complaint. We have had some impressive results with Jotun's Sea Quantum Ultra - but it might not be available in the Med - do not know (and might not be impressive in a different environment with different yacht usage).
Jaycar, the physical presence, are just down the road. I followed the thread with considerable interest but the eventual results seemed equivocal (and you reflect that conclusion) so I lost interest.
