Greece - Large Stainless Steel Bolts

HI All

Please can anyone point me in the direction of a Chandlery anywhere in Greece that might possibly supply me with 18 mm dia. X 100 mm long stainless bolts, grade A4 (or at least A2).

I am on Leros, and none of the three chandleries here have this size available.

I did a reshearch. Unfortunatelly i cant find a store that has online purchase, there are a lot of brick stores here in Athens that have them. I found only galvanize bolts on online shops... Maybe you should consider buying them from any shop worldwide that does express delivery? Good luck!

M18 is a massive bolt size. I can't recall ever working with anything like that and I'd be very surprised if a chandlery stocked such a thing.

I am not sure that one exists now. It was open about three years ago but then ceased to exist. Have not actually been there this year but I think not. Lakki Marina are opening a chandlery adjacent to the marina but that is the same company as Agmar, which Rod has tried.

Yes, I think you are right. When I limit my search to the last 12 months I don't get a hit.

Your link is to Leros Marina, where I am right now. Rod has tried there. They would almost certainly order from Athens, usual delivery in two days but occasionally one.

I'm not surprised. No way would chandlers in Australia have bolts that size in stock: they would have to be ordered in.

Thats the only place i found that will ship the bolts, but they are in pieces of 1 meter without head. You can cut them easily with an angle grinder and then weld a nut on top and make a head? or just use 2 nuts for locking a "head".

Vyv is right, nowhere on Leros or Kos was such a size available - and believe me, I looked !
