My yacht is ashore at Aktio marina and has been , like many, since 2019. It us UK registered and, I believe, EU vat paid as it has been in Greece all its life. We are planning to visit in May and hope to sail in the Ionian from May until July.

I understand that the DEKPA has been abolished and I will have fill in the form and pay the cruising tax - TEPAI.

Does anyone know if there is any other documentation I'll need? Is there any need to bother the Port Police in Preveza when we launch?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Andy

Thanks Davy_S for the suggestion re Chris Robb posts.
I have had a read through - it does seem like I only need the cruising tax form. Seems too good to be true!
Cheers, Andy

Nothing needed except TEPAI now provided you are staying in Greek waters so no need to go to the Port Police. When you leave there's no paperwork either provided the boat is out of the water. If you leave it in the water at a marina you are supposed to deposit registration document with the Port Police.
My boat is ashore in Iionian Yard, next to Aktio, and I will be there getting ready for launch and having a survey from 4th - 18th May. Maybe see you in the taverna along the road!

Off topic slightly - as you close out your paper work with the marina when you put the boat back in, make sure you get paperwork that certifies your boat was there on the 31st of Dec 2020.. seems that this single piece of paperwork may come in handy as you cruise around the Greek blue seas

Thanks for the updates, very re-assuring.
We are driving down this year and should be in Aktio on the 6th of May - next stop will be the taverna!
Cheeers, Andy
