Great Weather, great company, five boats at anchor Friday Night. On saturday morning in pilots Cove on the west coast of Anglesey we were all had the privilege of the company of a pod of dolphins for about 20 minutes around our boats playing in the sunshine, awesome!

Great weekend with a good crowd.

I am looking forward to some FB posts by Liz as the Dolphins were around for ages.

You will be glad to know that we slept from 8 pm last night to 10am this morning!

We were too awestruck by the swell coming back from Llandwyn to take pictures. Our shortcut was ok with a minimum under our keel pf 1.4m

Yes, the swell off the West coast of Anglesey yesterday morning was huge, but with a very slow interval, so very comfortable.. We also saw many dolphins, near Abrahams Bosom, close to South Stack. I was astonished, up to ca 14:00 it was warm, sunny and virtually no wind yet there were virtually no motorboats about and only a few yachts ! The return around South and North Stack later in the afternoon, with the tide against the steadily increasing Easterly wind were not pleasant though.

Someone I know was at Hells Mouth on Sunday where most of the UK surf crowd had gathered as the Surf was at its best for sometime because of the swell and North Easterlies that we had!

I know I will be checking the swell forecast on Windguru before anchoring close in to Pen Y Parc again.

I enjoyed the sailing in the fresh wind on Sunday. Cracking reach down to Abermenai to meet up again with the PeaDiddyites. Followed by a bit of a thrash back up with the tide and doing some proper leaning over sailing whilst they all burnt oil to get back.

Was out from Conwy on Sunday morning. Had driven alon A55 from Abergele and it looked OK. Left marina about 10:00 caught in some heavy squalls up to F7 past the A55 tunnel. Headed for Great Orme but by the time we got Ther big seas (10ft) very uncomfortable. Turned tail and headed for Puffin Island only had 1/3 genny up no main surfing down big seas hitting 8.5 knts annamometer reading apparent 6 gusting 7 and once 8. Hid behind Puffin for 2 1/2 hrs ate our butties and girded our loins up for the passage back to Conwy. Heading back to Conwy seas on the beam big swell got very close to being knocked over but by the time back at fairway seas had subsided and sun was out. Got back to Conwy 17:00 had a curry and a beer in the Mulberry. Very interesting sail one member of crew first time on a boat ! Lapped it wants to know when we are going again!
