Just had to mention Labelcraft signs of Felixstowe. We were recomended to them for a new name for the transom of Shamal.

Popped in there one afternoon, 20 minutes later we walked out with a vinyl self adhesive sign, designed exactly as we wanted with a detailed explanation (and demonstration) how to fit it. All at a price so reasonable we couldn't believe it.

It was so good we went back there last Thursday for two more (SSR & one for the dinghy) and had the same great service and price.

We felt such good service deserves a mention.

LabelCraft in Felixstowe not very good....

I'm pleased someone had a good experience with them, I had an awful couple times with Labelcraft that I decided to travel to somewhere further rather than use them. The older guy was very rude to me the first time I was there aswell which didn't then help.

I personally wouldn't recommend them, they dont' dont work for everyone, they seem to be selective on what they price for and who they do work for and their prices were ridiculous too!! I went to one in Essex in the end...

They are rude there and very unhelpful

I'm surprised, I've never had anything but brilliant service from Labelcraft. I've used them on many occasion for both personal and business items. Sorry to hear you didn't get on with them, but I would urge others not be put off by what might be an isolated incident.

Thanks for the post Shamal and tugger. I need some self adhesive names for my boat and dinghy and they are not far from the boatyard.

I used signs express in Harlow, there are a couple people in Ipswich/Felixstowe area, ther was a guy called Sign Shack in Felixstowe but he took along time to get back to me for my parents boat. Another guy was Sunscreen, he was nice and my parents had him design things for their boat and also tint the windows to reduce the glare which they were pretty impressed with

That's all great news, unfortunately when your first couple of posts on a forum are knocking one business and promoting another it's difficult for me to take your info too seriously.

Welcome and don't forget to tell us about your/parents boat and your local stomping ground etc! :-)

Well if I have had a bad experience with one then whats wrong in saying that another was good? Ther are a couple friendly guys in Labelcraft but I was recommended them and they proved a disappointment. I used Signs Express in Harlow cos my sister knew one of them and they were really good and decent price, my parents recently got a Beneteau Oceanis and wanted it looking 'different', so I searched for a couple people for them and they were chuffed. I am new to the boating group as I recently inherited one from my grandparents!! :D

Sorry if I appear overly grumpy about your comments....my business gets a large % of its work from a forum, a bitchy negative post made by someone with little grounds to do so, still plagues our sales chap years later!

What boat have you inherited?

Yeah I understand that, although I think people need to know a bad experience then they can make their own judgemnt. Labelcraft might be good most of the time, or maybe even with selected people. But anyway, enough about them. I've just inherited a Topaz Omega!! It's nothing fancy but I absolutlely love it for my first boat!!! Don't really have much of an idea about them but I'm slowly learning. Hoping to move nearer the coast to be able to use it more. Thinking maybe up Norfolk way?
