I thought the gang might like these.....

Both are Canadian Halifax class frigates in rough weather, the first in the North Atlantic and the second crossing from Esquimalt to Hawaii....

Rough seas in the North Atlantic.....

The Halifax class is around the same length as the type 23, but a bit lighter and probably not as well armed... thats a 57mm 70 cal Bofors on the front versus the RN's 115mm....

The second vid is HMCS Vancouver, watch for the solid greenies totally obscuring the bridge windows.....

Why sailing from Hawaii to Vancouver can be a challenge.....

Now youve seen an average day in the Pacific on the milk run to Hawaii you will have to imagine what it is like when the going really gets rough even for big cargo ships....

That is a small ship and the waves are just lifting over the bows.....how about the formast light on a bulker being knocked out of action by seas.....it is 45 feet above the focsle head!!!!!!!! Now that was rough.... Must get the movies transferred to dvd..
