Great deal on AA Lithium Batteries

It would be difficult NOT to notice the difference - lithium cells have a 20 year shelf life, have between 6-10 times the endurance of Alkaline batteries and usually cost x10 as much.
Time for new specs I think, Pete.

That is a good price, Nigel, I've been buying them for about £0.50 for AAA and £0..75 for AA - of course those are the 1.5v lithium cells, the 3.6v ones are slightly more pricey
Not quite, Lithium have a 15 year shelf life, compared with 10 for Alkaline, and the capacity is marginally higher. I don't think there are many applications where it makes sense for AA batteries

The way this thread has developed really takes the biscuit. Nigel let's people know of a really good offer and in the process his Bavaria website benefits by a few pence. Next thing some mean spirited pedants start chastising him for being so helpful and even "taking legal advice"! I can't believe it, haven't they got anything better to do? Next thing they'll be taking VicS to task for publicising Aldi special buys.
Word of advice, Nigel, don't try to justify yourself to them. Petty mindedness is only encouraged by a response. The rest of us (silent majority) thank you for the offer. It may involve a little rule bending but are we men (women) or mice.

I suggest that you read the thread through again ....... best start at the beginning this time.

Richard
