The annual event was held yesterday, weather couldn't have been better. It was a first for us as we're newbies, I was fortunate enough to be on one of the safety ribs with Kwackers, cheers mate, great experience, I owe you one, again! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I had my first vist to Littleship, luckily in neutral waters, not in the marina, so the bottle rule didn't apply /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The raft builders were very enthusiastic although some were not so keen later on!

Trailer made a wierd noise later, somebody had hit it and bent the mudguard stay onto the tyre. Quick repair required!

Arived back in the straits a couple of hours to late, besides I got crap directions from Tom, so thought it was at the Conarvon end.

Anyway, slight technical probs liked this were easily overcome by two gifted spannermen.
The 'Monk' haircut is all the rage this Season in downtown Menai by the way.

By the way Mucky Farter is in Dinorwic this eve as well as Little Ship.
Payement for crewing from Menai to Dinorwic on Little Ship was one glass of some sort of beer

However hlb mentioned a job on Mucky Farter again!
So nipped over.
Gave a quote and it looked like hlb was crying!

Then noticed He was peeling onions. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif


Anyway Debs brought the anchovies out, then the dips and chilli crispie things.
When hlb wasn,t looking Debs threw a generous measure of hlb's grog in a tumbler.
Then the Moules Mariner were served along with the Prawns and lovely bread.

Whilst hlb was wiping His eyes another slug of grog entered My glass!

Fair play to Tom He offered to drive Me home.
I recruited No 2 daughter for the task so's Tom could have a glass or two.

The reward for Helen for giving Me a lift was A nice bowl of strawberries and cream, plus a soft drink or two.
Yep they do soft drinks on MF also!
Bet there aint much hard stuff left anyway by the time Tom leaves for Little Ship anyway /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

The weather was still perfect tonight.
Helming Little Ship through the Swellies and down towards Dinorwic was a pleasure.
Tom's first go into a new berth this eve.
Wind was in the wrong corner but He did it dead good.
Spite me lobbing the warp in the water first go!!

Anyway.
We had a Committe meeting.
The next North Wales 'Do' will be in the Conwy river.
Exact spot and time will be Posted soon.

It was like a gannets tea party, the prawns were all gone before I got a look in, debs managed to grab one. WE both missed out on the garlic bread and we managed one each of the anchovies. Luckily I'd thought to share the mussels out equally, else we would have starved to death, we were thankfull for the dry bread. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
 
RogerRat, it's mayhem up ere sometimes.
Peeps break down, can,t handle boats.
Then there are raft races.

OK it's a Charity fair play.

We have slow old wooden boats, with slow old retired peeps aboard.
Semi fast old boats with peeps with no teeth aboard.
Newbies with Merry Fisher patio door jobs dashing about the place.
You know the types. 'Peche Promenades'!
