Ok so I miss the Folly Inn, CYC and the long hot summers back in the UK(!) but this was taken at the weekend and it's now Autumn down under in New Zealand...

Great Barrier Island is only 45 miles out from Auckland and it is a stunning place to visit by boat. Port Fitzroy is a big protected harbour on the Northern end and you enter via a myriad of small islands know by the locals as the Broken Islands.

Excellent footage Vagabond, great piece of work...beautiful part of the world.

Has the past season been good for you folks across the ditch?

That looks very nice indeed...

Did you take the video, nice to see a bit of editing, what's the score, have you got the camera connected/bolted to the pullpit?

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed that!

Yes we have had a great season... good thing is it never really ends out here. how about your side of the pond?

I have one of those HD Hero cameras that I stuck to my search light that's mounted on the bow... works quite well ... although heading out to the bow to trun it on/off can be fun at 25 knots! :-)

Hi Clive

I am glad to see you are missing the combined Chichester Harbour Dinghy fleets, only a pod of Dolphins to keep you company!

At least its heading into summer rather than winter here.

Keep up the postings

Nick

Thanks Vagabond, totally brilliant video. Lovely part of world - I have never been to GBI but have spent plenty of time in Auckland and got as far as Waiheke

I'm off to google Hero HD cameras...
