After having a look at the new Grand Soleil LC46 built by sly yachts first impression is that it’s nice. Are these new super yachts now not becoming more like a display from IKEA? There is something unnatural about them. Nice to look at but how about lying on the upholstery in an old pair of wet oilies. Maybe the boat is not for sailing around the Outer Hebrides and more at home in the med for tourists to take photos of.

I would not let you lie on the upholstery in wet oilies on our boat either. She is 15 years old, well travelled and in great condition. No wet oilies in the saloon is a house rule in order to keep her that way.

Just had a quick look on line and couldnt see much in the way of handholds down below so moving about in any kind of sea would be interesting.

There are marina boats and there are sea going boats. I know where my Vancouver fits in.

Yes now that is a nice boat, had a look around one 34 I think which is for sale at Caley marina on the canal at Inverness.
