Grand Banks Sedan 36

Good move, a very lovely looking vessel. I think if budget allows, then it's a better bet than either of the current the CHB offerings on the market. From what you said in your other thread, it sounds like you viewed the GB Classic down here in Cornwall? I prefer the layout of the Sedan over the Classic as the outside space is so much more usable and accessible. With no chine on the bow above waterline, sleeping in the forward berths should not keep you awake at night at anchor with wave slap. Did you consider/view the GB Europa Sedan in Brighton (on with the same broker as yours)? I hope your purchase goes well. (y)
We viewed the Sedan as an also ran, with a trip to Falmouth planned and hotel paid for, but we decided this was the one (Lymington), so saw little point in a 500 mile round trip. Both brokers advised the one in Cornwall is immaculate, but less well equipped - no thrusters (the broker selling this one sold all the Grand Banks in the UK).

I personally don't like the Europa layout, so wouldn't have been interested in looking.

For the Fischer Panda, this will be a Paguro in disguise with a Farymann single pot diesel, 3000 RPM 2 pole alternator, so quite noisy and likely due a top overhaul due to rusted valves. I am familiar with the scenario !

Looks like Pants for the Insurance - decent price I thought at £750

Friend had that model for a few years 2xCummins 250s 21knots on Gps.
Kept Eastlands for a while but found bridge tiresome with mast.
I took to channel isles and West Country for a cruise Very comfortable living and Seaboat.
Have done trip in larger planing boats but GB was
Was a much better ride . sweet spot was 14knots .

I have become accustomed to lowering masts to get under the bridges. The £7k pa saved makes it worthwhile.

The two Sedans are the same boat before and after a price adjustment. The photos are of her with a previous name.

I will be changing her name again as I can't get on with Jawaba.
Well spec'ed boat and a pair of Sabre thumpers, I've got a comprehensive engine manual and PRM gearbox manual if you want it pinging across. I've found Lancing Marine VERY helpful with information and service items for my 250HP lumps.

That is a very kind offer - I will PM you my details. Thanks

That explains things - I saw those photos some time ago and was thinking she must have been on the market for a very long time (years) but I guess she sold when I saw them and the subsequent owner is now selling.
