Hi,

I'm collecting my new (to me) boat on Saturday, a 1989 Granada 34. I'm really struggling to find any useful information about the Granada 34 or Granada Yachts in general, apart from the fact they were Danish and no longer exist - Does anyone have any experience of the boats or knowledge of the builder?

Cheers!

I believe the UK importer was Scanyachts then run by David Love. I used a race a Dynamic 37 called "Loestar" which was another boat they imported from Denmark - not sure if same builder as Granada. Scanyachts mainly dealt with LM and Seafinn.

I believe Grenada Yachts stopped production back in the '90's when they were bought by Hanse yachts.
At that time Hanse were pretty small having only started in 1993 in what was the former East Germany, with only a couple of small models, the 291/292 and later a 33 which were 'bought in' designs originally from Aphrodite yachts in Sweden.
Hanse needed to broaden the range then and Grenada were probably a good prospect, I don't know what, if any, models Hanse built though.

Thanks for this thread. I have recently acquired a Granda 35 and am finding the "Granada Boaters" facebook page very useful.
Aardee's 34 seems to be a 340 but I am also struggling to find more information and history about Granada and their boats - maybe I need to improve my danish!

The 34 and 340 are very similar - The 34 was the standard production boat while the 340 used for the same hull but with custom options. Mine's marked as a 34 o the builders plate and the original decals.
