I don’t know if any of you have heard of the Grain de Sail project ? In conjunction with the chocolaterie in Morlaix, they have built a sailing cargo boat (with a second under construction). The boat is used to export fine wines, spirits, and foodstuffs to New York, collecting cocoa beans, rum etc from the Caribbean on the return.

On our recent trip down to Brittany I bought some of the resulting chocolate in a petrol station (the 75% dark chocolate, since you ask). Absolutely delicious.

FWIW, the chocolaterie in Morlaix also works with people from the local ESAT (which is an atelier for handicapped people).

It’s a lovely idea. Fortnum and Mason’s have been doing it for a while with Green Sailimg Ship chocolate and Hotel Chocolat in Borough Market used to as well - their Rabot sailing shipped chocolat was as lovely as it was expensive.
