Grabber.
I found a second hand windsurf mast and wanted to build a head sail pole out of it.
The head sail on the end of the bowsprit needs to be boomed out in following winds. The old boom is made from a cypress, strong but heavy.
Made hardwood top en bottom ends, placed the hardware on them.
This morning I wanted to build the boom together, found the mast on the bottom some 30 feet deep.
A freak wave from a ferry rolled the boat, mast must have slipped over the side.
I can see the mast in the sand, too deep for me to dive. Is there a way to snorkel over the mast and grab it with something to lift it to the surface ?
Hollow fibreglass tube , 14 feet long, about 1” at smallest diameter.
