GPS to VHF connections

Hi, I have a Garmin GPS 128 and wish to connect to a Simrad RD68 VHF. The instruction manuals for both units are not very clear for doing this. The GPS also has a list of interface options. IE, NMEA-NMEA etc.

Has anyone connected these two before, if so what setting did you use?

Set the Garmin to NMEA in & NMEA out

Thanks Happy1, I have checked out the posts and talked to Garmin. I (think!!!) I now know how to connect it! I will let you know.

There seems to be a huge margin for incorrect connections/F**k ups though!!!

not really - just keep trying until the RD68 says it knows where it is

Thanks guys, I spoke to Simrad yesterday and checked out the posts on here... it all now works perfectly!

It seems simple now after a bit of explaining- the destruction manuals are definately not that clear.
