All the above was working well untill my pC hard drive bust. I am now setting up again with another (identical PC) and having problems.
Mapping comes up fine as does the linked AIS but the gps position wont show.
In the 'settings' screen I used to set the baud rate (4800) and the coms port (4) I have tried this a dozen times with no success ( and tried other comms ports)
I have found and loaded the driver for the gps reciever though I cant find the instructions.
Has anyone else set this set up and can you think of any thing I should do??
Most grateful for any advice.

Hi
I may be wrong but on my set up the from what I remenber the GPS is 4600 but when the signal from the GPS is feed through the AIS engine the baud rate is converted to 36 or 38000. I dont have the instructions to hand to say exactly but the same happened to me when upgrading.
Just checked online here http://www.digiboat.biz/international/shop/data/HOWTO_Connect_the_NASA_AIS.pdf
baud rate 38400 from engine
