Gotta test your equipment

Sitting here indoors with the wind blowing cold outside on Valentines day dreaming of better weather and getting boating. Her indoors watching some girlie film on the box (but I suppose it is called a panel these days). I thought I know I will pump up my waveco in the lounge to see if it is ok and give it a clean. Her indoors was not all that happy especially when all the sand fell out of it. I told her you have got to test your equipment to make sure it is all ok for the season ahead.

anyone else doing stupid things because the weather in the UK is pants.

I guess it's similar, I have been crawling around under the boat cover making sure there isn't any mould.. Found the house battery was a bit low so pulled in the charger and decided to charge the hand held VHF at the same time.. Fortunately there is just a bit of mould outside where I guess there is moisture under the cover.. Inside is perfect which is a relief.. I resisted the urge to sit in the helm seat and day dream..
