what a week...f8/f9 ferries to the uk cancelled and muggins here doing my prep them coastal exam..all week the weather was total hectic then the evening start to my exam and the wind dies..2's and 3's for the exam, the sun even came out yesterday!!......next step yacht master offshore..well after a lot of hard work and lots more experience!!

Congratulations Your now qualified to get into allsorts of trouble!!

One suggestion would be to not leave it too long before doing Yachtmaster or you will be surprised how much you forget.

trouble..know what u mean....but need lot smore experience..short hops/longer passages/day/night..different weather conditions...etc etc.......problem is i don't own a boat and find it hard to get sailing at times...but cest la vie.....role on augest...will try and do a week afloat then....

nope but i tell u..when it came to the exam and the wind died off (quite easy since we had 50+knots at one stage)..the exam was sooo much easier...much better to train for the worst..even if u never get it...

Excellent stuff .. I did all my ytraining in the winter cos that's when conditiions would be the most testing and cosequently you'd learn more. Hmmm it was also a wee bit cheaper!

the thing is how do i now continue?? find it hard to get time sailing and end up paying for it...don't mind sooomuch as long as i'm progressing...have a week in augest..any ideas??...what haven't i done...well longer passages really..i supose but good old general experience...day/night is good
