The submarine crew are responsible for security on the boat and will have a sentry placed to control access.

MOD police provide security for the dockyard area and will have units available to patrol and respond to any incident. Both on shore and afloat.

Oops, sorry. The Royal Arms in Gosport was home to all who served at HMS Dolphin when it was home to the 1st Submarine Squadron. The lads who lived a fairly basic life at sea were able to 'unwind' a little on return from patrol....

Submariners abbreviation for a boozer in Goport. RA being the Royal Arms on Stoke Road. Unfortunately long gone. As Capnsensible said, the wild west had nothing on that place
