Got any \"O\'s\"?
In a Thameside chandlery the proprietor is behind the counter. She has just finished serving a customer who is leaving with her dog as Steve enters the chandlery, (wearing a scruffy tank-top and beanie)
Steve: Morning. 'O's!
Chandler: 'O's?
Steve: Gas 'O's. Like this;(Steve shows an example as removed from his boat) it’s time expired and needs replacing.
Chandler: got some in the back. Let’s go and look (She gets out two rolls, one of them still fully wrapped in it’s plastic/polythene and puts them on the counter).
Steve: (looking at the open roll) Looks like the right stuff. O look; the date stamp is 96/06.
Chandler: What's,uh...What's wrong with it?
Steve: Its past it’s usability date by about 7 years
Chandler:I didn’t know about that. Lets open up the other one.
Chandler: (having opened up the new roll) This one is much better. Look – the date stamp is 00/Jan
Steve: This one is 3 years past its usability date.
Chandler: But we’ve just opened it. It is brand new. Look – there is nothing wrong with this hose. It must be good for at least 2 years.
At this point I left – looks like it’s the Calor shop in Mortimer
