I have to change my now too small fixed three blade propeller but the choice of alternatives is great. I like the look of the Gori and that leading edge of blade is the same for forward and reverse thrust. Has anyone installed a gori prop and how is it? How much maintenance? Does the "overdrive" really work when motorsailing. Alternative is to go for the Autoprop about which I have read a lot in these forums but is it better than the Gori? Advice appreciated.

I have 20inch Gori on a 50ft yacht t/w 100hp Yanmar. Only had it a few months but yes the 'overdrive' does seem to work. Simple use of increased pitch in
reverse mode to go forward faster for less? I had 5.4 kts with 1500rpm last Sunday in a calmish sea which seemed pretty good. Very clever engineering (prop got more atttention than the boat on delivery!) with small triangular zinc on the hub. I suspect this is disappearing rapidly (warm waters) but Sileltte in UK mailed me a spare no problem.

I replaced my knackered Darglo with a Gori. Gives an extra 2 knots! Sillette Sonic are good people to do business with. Don't know about the "overdrive" as the 2 blade doesn't do this.

I re-engined my Centaur last year & I needed a new prop & decided on a Gori 2 bladed folding prop & it's brilliant!
Handling under power is totally different tho feels like different yacht. Takes much longer to slow down unless I use reverse ( there is a clunk! as the blades unfold). Sail speed is up too.

14X9 ins prop waS £320 INC vat (ask for a boat builder discount).
