Any advice on my two blade Gori prop. I have been told the swivel pins are excessively worn and that they are non serviceable. Does anyone know otherwise, my father would have repaired anything having a complete engineering works unfortunately this facility is long gone.

Is there a used prop supplier in the UK ?

It is a RH 16.5" I believe

thanks

I considered having some new pins made for a folding prop but realised there was other wear too. When the prop is replaced I will probably do it anyway, as a spare.

Just a fact of life that the pins of folding props eventually wear, some makes quicker than others. Not just the pins but the hub as well so that will need rebushing. Suggest you try Steel Developments for repair. Chances of finding a good used folding prop of the right diameter and pitch plus the correct shaft size pretty slim. Not the sort of thing that tends to be surplus to requirements.

I've got the same prop as you and got replacement pins from www.sillette.co.uk

Not Cheap but made a big difference & worth the money IMHO. Certainly cheaper than a new prop.

I was sceptical at first thinking the blades would wear before the pins, especially as there are no bushes in either the blades or the hub but was happy to be proven wrong
